Football Treats - Candy Coated Apple Slices
Dip apples. Soak apples in lemon-lime soda for 10 to 15 minutes; remove from soda and let them dry completely. Melt light cocoa and white Candy Melts candy, separately, according to package directions - we highly suggest melting chocolate in microwave safe plastic (not glass). Use candy tongs to dip slices into melted light cocoa candy. Tap to smooth and remove excess candy. Place wedges on parchment paper-covered cake board or cookie sheet. Chill in fridge until firm, about 10 minutes.
Decorate wedges. Use melted white candy in cut parchment bag to pipe laces and stripes onto each dipped treat.
