Works Great On
Poppy Paint is designed for use on dry, solid confectionery surfaces, including:
Chocolate, Isomalt, Ganache, Candy Melts, Cookies, Macarons, Royal Icing, Glaze Icing, Fondant, Gumpaste, Wafer Paper, Candy, and Modeling Chocolate.
Why Fast-Drying Paint?
A layer of Poppy Paint dries within seconds rather than minutes. This makes it possible to apply multiple layers and colors in one sitting without long waiting periods between applications.
Once completely dry, Poppy Paint is designed to resist rubbing and smudging, helping protect detailed designs when adding finishing touches or packaging decorated treats.
Drying Times
- Poppy Paint: 10–30 seconds per layer
- Poppy Paint Pearlescents: 30–60 seconds per layer
- Poppy Paint Super Shine: 5–10 minutes per layer
Drying times may vary depending on temperature, humidity, and application thickness.
Important
Poppy Paint is hydrophobic and should be applied to completely dry surfaces. Avoid applying it to wet or porous surfaces such as gelatin, whipped cream, or buttercream, as the alcohol may absorb into the confection.
Directions
SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. Pigments naturally settle during storage. Shake vigorously until the color appears completely uniform from top to bottom.
If pigment has settled firmly at the bottom, gently squeeze or massage the bottom of the bottle to loosen the sediment, then shake thoroughly before using.
Cleaning Your Brushes
After using Poppy Paint, remove as much residual paint from the brush as possible. Wash thoroughly with dish soap and water, rinse well, and allow the brush to dry completely before using it again.
If dried Poppy Paint has hardened in the bristles, soak the brush in a suitable cleaning alcohol to loosen the dried paint, then wash thoroughly with dish soap and water. Allow the brush to dry completely before using it with Poppy Paint again, as moisture can cause the paint to gum up.
With its quick-drying formula, durable finish, and wide range of available colors, Poppy Paint makes it easy to add hand-painted details, lettering, accents, and vibrant designs to your confectionery creations.
